CASA in the Community
For the holiday Season, we partnered with our community to provide gifts for CASA kids. We partnered with Salud! de Mesilla and Sonoma Acupuncture for our Holiday Gift Program for 64 CASA kids! For our unassigned CASA kids, we partnered with the District Attorney’s Office to gift 101 stockings! We have also partnered with the Colour Bar & Hair Studio to provide warm clothing for our older CASA teens!
2023 was a great year for Mesilla Valley CASA! We celebrated a lot of big wins, including welcoming 11 new volunteers. We had two cohorts of pre-service training and were able to grow our team of volunteers. Thank you to the community who spread the message and shared the Mesilla Valley CASA mission with others to recruit! We look forward to 2024 and being able to train and recruit more CASAs to serve the foster children in Dona Ana County!
Our Pearl Anniversary
Mesilla Valley CASA celebrated 30 years in 2023! To celebrate we held our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch to celebrate all the work that our CASAs have done this year.

In 2023, Mesilla Valley CASA volunteer advocates served 121 children in foster care!
MV CASA advocates have spent 1,600 hours working their cases! This includes case research, attending meetings for their case, attending court hearings, and spending time with their CASA kids. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our volunteers during our Volunteer Appreciation Brunch.

2023 marks 30 years of Mesilla Valley CASA and to celebrate, we are raising money to continue to help kids in foster care in Dona Ana County. Your gift of $30 will allow our team to meet the needs for foster kids in our community.

We are accepting applications for our next cohort of volunteer CASAs! If you know of anyone interested in becoming a CASA, direct them to our website or connect them to our advocate coaches!
